Overview
The Rotary Club of Dindigul Fort, in a joint project with the Rotary Club of Dindigul Queencity, successfully organized a vital Blood Donation Camp. This humanitarian initiative was launched to address the pressing need for safe blood reserves in our local healthcare system and to promote the vital importance of voluntary blood donation in the community.
The successful execution of this camp was driven by the dedicated efforts of a robust volunteer force comprising 20 Rotarians and 50 Rotaractors. Their combined synergy ensured seamless operations across registration, screening, medical assistance, and post-donation care, providing a safe, highly organized environment.
The initiative yielded exceptional results, successfully collecting 40 units of blood from generous donors. Because a single unit of whole blood can be separated to treat multiple patients, this collection is projected to save a minimum of 120 lives. This medical impact underscores our deep commitment to community health
