Jeeva Amudham Community Service

Jeeva Amudham

At the Rotary Club of Dindigul Fort, we believe true service comes from the heart. Through our weekly "Jeeva Amudham" initiative, we fight hunger by providing warm meals to the needy every Friday. This week’s execution was a profound display of compassion. Proudly sponsored by Rtn. R. Sankar, Rtn. Nandhini Sankar, and family, the project went beyond mere financial support. Embodying the Rotary spirit of "Service Above Self," the family lovingly prepared delicious Pulisatham (Tamarind Rice) in their own home. They then personally took to the streets, serving these meals directly to unhoused individuals with warmth and dignity. Project Highlights: Beneficiaries: 75 individuals served. Project Value: ₹3,750 (75 meals @ ₹50). By cooking and serving with their own hands, the Sankar family delivered not just food, but hope. We will continue to create lasting change in our community, one meal at a time.

Blood Donation Camp Community Service

Blood Donation Camp

The Rotary Club of Dindigul Fort, in a joint project with the Rotary Club of Dindigul Queencity, successfully organized a vital Blood Donation Camp. This humanitarian initiative was launched to address the pressing need for safe blood reserves in our local healthcare system and to promote the vital importance of voluntary blood donation in the community. The successful execution of this camp was driven by the dedicated efforts of a robust volunteer force comprising 20 Rotarians and 50 Rotaractors. Their combined synergy ensured seamless operations across registration, screening, medical assistance, and post-donation care, providing a safe, highly organized environment. The initiative yielded exceptional results, successfully collecting 40 units of blood from generous donors. Because a single unit of whole blood can be separated to treat multiple patients, this collection is projected to save a minimum of 120 lives. This medical impact underscores our deep commitment to community health
